Purpose
I am including my writing projects as part of a composition class, ENG101 through Arizona State University, and also to record my development as a writer as I progress through college. My short term goal is to continue adding samples of my writing, so that this e Portfolio can be part of my application when I transfer to a four year college after completing my Associate’s Degree. My long term goal is to have a record of all of my writing, both academic and creative, which I can easily access in the future. I hope to additionally expand this portfolio to also include work from other classes.
Content
My website is currently designed with tabs for easy access to my writing for this class, I have included a link to my twenty Writing Journals which show my progress as a reader, writer and critical thinker. I also have a link to each of the three essays I wrote for ENG101. I also include tabs for the WPA Outcomes and The Framework for Success in Postsecondary Writing, so that the audience will understand the educational steps I have taken as a writer in this class.
Audience
My audiences will be students and faculty in ENG101, friends and family, colleges I apply to in the future, possible employers, and readers of my fiction writing. I plan to use it as a part of my applications to transfer schools, future job applications and interviews, and as a tool for future writing.
Accessibility
To make my website accessible to all readers, I have made it user friendly for people with auditory, visual and physical disabilities.
ENG 101 Composition class curriculum and writing assignments that resulted in Writing Projects and Writing Journals followed the guidelines set forth in the following Writing Program Administrators' learning outcomes:
